“West Java is WILD. I never thought before, the landscape in West Java is truly amazing.
.
There are only six waterfalls that has opened for public in National Geopark Ciletuh, a UNESCO Global Geopark.
When I explored there, I saw many of waterfalls and pretty sure, this Geopark has so many waterfalls to offer that haven’t discovered yet cause of the difficult access.
.
To be honest, I am a little sad when I was here. The Goverment seem don’t really give more attention to this Geopark, there is no sign or specific information of the waterfalls. I think if I don’t have local friends from Sukabumi, I can be lost. I think wouldn’t even know how to get here. For anyone who wants to discover ‘wild landscape’, I really suggest you to travel to Sukabumi, West Java.
.
Unfortunately, there is no direct public transportation to Ciletuh. The easiest way is take a flight to Jakarta (if you are outside West Java), get a shuttle car to Sukabumi. Then from Sukabumi you can rent a car/scooter. Kindly send a dm @exploresukabumi for more information.
.
I really really hope @indtravel can do more publications for this Geopark in the future. It’s soo AMAZING. The waterfall is way higher than waterfalls in East Java + it has stunning rock formations. Geopark Ciletuh is truly hidden gem in West Java.” – @iw.wm
